Organizational Strategy

The organizational strategy that I am using for my essay is chronological and exemplary. I am using this method because it is the most efficient way to describe the major I am pursuing and the best way to objectify why it is a good idea. A logical argument that I will use in my essay is the fact that most people want to grow up to live lavish lifestyles. But gaining that lavish lifestyle requires a lot of work and a lot of effort. I argue that becoming a pilot might be very time and money consuming while in progress, however, once you go through your only 4 years it is amazing what you get in return. I think this logical argument will work because it shows that becoming a pilot does not require a lot of time in school, but still gives you the opportunity to live a very lavish lifestyle.

Rhetoric Context

The rhetoric context is a way of explaining the purpose of your article including the audience and the central focus of the essay. In my essay, I will be discussing the aviation industry, and how becoming a pilot is so worth it. To start, Carroll says in her article "Our worlds are full of these kinds of social influences." I found this quote especially important to my topic because the media has a large effect on an industry, and aviation has been a great target of it. You may have seen many negatives things whether it be about accidents or misguided pilots, but they rarely include the wonderful things about the aviation industry and how it strives to be bigger and better every day. In my essay, by rhetorical and actual means, I will be trying my best to convince you that becoming a pilot or becoming involved in any aviation industry job will be the best decision you ever made.

Can't Cite Myself

Academic writing, as discussed, has a lot of structure and responsibility. Although everything eventually comes together, evidence from various sources is what makes your essay scholarly. Now I am not an expert, nor am I a published writer but with the topic given for Doc1, I was very excited to research and write. I wrote my essay on the topic of procrastination because this has been one of my most compromising struggles all throughout school. I would put off whole semesters of school work just because I didn't have the motivation or the energy to put in the work. When writing and researching for this essay I realized that just using my own experience wasn't enough and I needed to find scholarly articles in order to provide evidence as to why procrastination occurs. Utilizing articles like A cademic Procrastination among Male and Female University and College Students and Academic procrastination of undergraduates: Low self-efficacy to self-regulate predicts hi...

My Rhetorical Situation

I am writing this essay, not to inform students of what not to do in school, but to provide a better understanding for myself and others on why procrastination has crept its way into our lives. Procrastination most threatens me in my classroom success because there's always something more enticing to do than my own homework. Especially within the past year (aka the pandemic) most school work has been online. This made it very hard to log on every day and you could easily push it later and not think about it. The communication triangle makes organization for this essay simpler. As I will be the writer of this essay, I will be writing from personal experience about my troubles with procrastination. The reader of this essay will be my fellow classmates who may have also at some point come across procrastination and it may be relative to them. Of course, the subject or problem of the essay being procrastination, which is what will be the main discussion and solution of my essay. The te...
