My Rhetorical Situation
I am writing this essay, not to inform students of what not to do in school, but to provide a better understanding for myself and others on why procrastination has crept its way into our lives. Procrastination most threatens me in my classroom success because there's always something more enticing to do than my own homework. Especially within the past year (aka the pandemic) most school work has been online. This made it very hard to log on every day and you could easily push it later and not think about it. The communication triangle makes organization for this essay simpler. As I will be the writer of this essay, I will be writing from personal experience about my troubles with procrastination. The reader of this essay will be my fellow classmates who may have also at some point come across procrastination and it may be relative to them. Of course, the subject or problem of the essay being procrastination, which is what will be the main discussion and solution of my essay. The text and model which connects the other three components of the communication triangle will be personal experiences and scholarly articles which have survey evidence that will connect the audience. This, in conclusion, will be a solid base for my essay on the rhetorical situation.
What a fine analysis! You cover the bases, and use your analysis to understand your writing situation. This knowledge provides a solid framework within which a useful and valuable piece of writing can emerge. Well done.
